NOCTERRA POWELL - DRIVER / MERCHANDISER: PART-TIME / FULL-TIME

Nocterra Brewing Co. is looking for a part-time to full-time  Delivery Driver & Merchandiser to help us grow. We are looking for a highly motivated, self-starter with a strong work ethic & attention to detail.

SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Delivery Driver/Merchandiser for Nocterra Brewing Co. will report to the VP of Sales & will work cross-functionally with sales & production team members to successfully & strategically deliver products & grow our presence outside of the taproom.  In this role, you will also represent Nocterra in the community & be the direct interface for current & potential clients.  Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

DAILY DELIVERIES:

  • Execute daily deliveries to most efficiently support our customer base.

  • With guidance collect returned goods & returnable packaging as required.

  • Maintain excellent communications & customer service with receiving locations.

  • Ensure all sales orders are picked & packed for delivery on the scheduled date.

  • Assist in monitoring distribution inventory & communicating variance if present.

  • Notify sales & production partners immediately of product shortages so we can be proactive in our customer communication.

  • Lift, stack, & transport cases & kegs of beer of varying weights to accounts

  • Manually load & unload product from the delivery vehicle

  • Drive commercial delivery vans to deliver product to retail accounts

  • Collect payments from accounts & close out end-of-day deliveries.

  • Ensure that all safety policies & good safety practices are followed.

  • Mentored by the Sales, Logistics, Production, & Operations Teams to learn the business & the processes / systems used by Nocterra Brewing Co.

MERCHANDISING:

  • While in the field make sure the product is being stocked, rotated & faced in accordance with brand standards

  • Communicate to Sales & Marketing team members when supporting sales materials are needed to better serve our accounts.

  • Dedicate field time to “babysitting” product out in the market, especially at high-volume accounts

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must be 21 years of age or older.

  • Must have a valid driver’s license with no restrictions. 

  • Ability to work independently & as part of a team.

  • Ability to work varied hours/days as business needs dictate including evenings & / or weekends. 

  • Ability to use & operate all equipment necessary to fill orders. 

  • Must be able to lift, move, or maneuver up to 165 lbs.

  • Ability to stand, walk, lift, & bend for extended periods.

TRAIL MAGIC KITCHEN FOOD TRUCK - VARIABLE HOUR POSITION

The Food Truck Cook for Trail Magic Kitchen at Nocterra Brewing Co. is an important part of our culinary team & will play a critical role in the overall customer experience & our relationship with the community. The ideal candidate will have strong customer service skills, situational awareness & a mindset for quality above all else. Must have a strong love for all things food & a willingness to learn new culinary skills.

POSITION SUMMARY:

Responsible for preparing all ingredients, executing recipes, processing customer orders, producing meals & cleaning their workspace throughout the day in accordance with health & safety guidelines. Responsible for following recipes consistently, making adjustments based on customer requests & dietary needs, communicating with staff & following all policies & procedures set forth by the Executive Chef.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES INCLUDE BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

  • Set up & stock food items & other necessary supplies.
  • Prepare food items by cutting, chopping, mixing, & preparing sauces. 
  • Cook food items by grilling, frying, sautéing, & other cooking methods to specified recipes, standards, & food safety requirements.
  • Mise en place done in an orderly, timely, & efficient way.
  • Provide friendly customer service to all patrons who visit our food truck. 
  • Operate Toast POS system for all transactions.
  • Help guide customers in making their selections to create the best overall experience.
  • Have an expert understanding of the food offerings.
  • Clean & sanitize all cooking surfaces & equipment in accordance with health & safety guidelines.
  • Follow all proper hand-washing procedures.
  • Prepare & handle all ingredients in accordance with USDA guidelines.

     

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: 

  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Basic understanding of culinary practices in a home kitchen or restaurant.
  • Basic knife skills & knowledge preferred.
  • Accountable at all times for personal safety & the safety of those around them.
  • Strong sense of curiosity & a willingness to learn.
  • Attention to detail, ability to work unsupervised while maintaining safety & quality standards, & confidence to speak up & act when safety & quality are compromised.
  • Effective & frequent communication with manager & cross-functional partners.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to frequently sit, stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, & climb.
  • Ability to work in an outdoor environment that includes hot & cold weather. 
  • Ability to stand for up to 6 hours or more.
  • Ability to lift &/or maneuver, push/slide, rotate & move up to 50 lbs.

COMPENSATION: Starting at $15.00 per hour based on experience & training, plus tips

SALES REP. FULL TIME

As a Sales Representative for Nocterra Brewing Co., you will be responsible for promoting our brand and driving beer sales through effective relationship-building and strategic sales initiatives. Your role will involve:

  • Developing and maintaining strong relationships with new and existing accounts in the on-premise (bars, restaurants) and off-premise (liquor stores, grocery stores) sectors.
  • Executing sales strategies to meet and exceed sales targets.
  • Conducting market research to identify new sales opportunities and competitive trends.
  • Representing Nocterra Brewing Co. at industry events, tastings, and promotional events.
  • Providing exceptional customer service and follow-up.
  • Working closely with the sales and marketing teams to develop and implement effective sales and marketing materials.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES INCLUDE BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

  • Achieve sales targets through effective planning & budgeting.
  • Conduct regular visits to accounts to ensure product availability, menu placements, & brand visibility.
  • Monitor and report on market & competitor activities.
  • Manage all aspects of account relationships, including contracts, orders, & payments.
  • Participate in training & development opportunities to enhance product knowledge & sales skills.
 

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: 

  • Must be 21 years of age or older.
  • A valid driver’s license & reliable transportation.
  • A minimum of 2 years experience in sales, preferably in the beverage or craft beer industry.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, & presentation skills.
  • Strong ability to initiate & close new business.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently & as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of the craft beer industry & trends.
  • Aptitude with Microsoft Office products & ability to utilize sales & inventory management software.
  • Ability to work varied hours/days as business needs dictate including evenings &/or weekends.
  • Ability to use and operate all equipment necessary to fill orders.
